Description
The RS Horizon “See Sri Lanka Anew” package is an immersive 9-night, 10-day journey that promises an unforgettable blend of culture, nature, and adventure. Upon arrival, you receive a warm welcome before checking into your hotel near Negombo/Gampaha. The next morning, you begin your adventure, heading to the Cultural Triangle, making a first stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Day two and three are a deep dive into history. You explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the Dambulla Cave Temple, followed by an exciting elephant safari in Habarana. The journey continues to Anuradhapura, where you visit the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi. The evening ends with a thrilling jeep safari at Minneriya National Park before settling in Polonnaruwa.
Day four begins with a scenic walk along the Parakrama Samudraya before exploring the ruins of Polonnaruwa. You then travel to Kandy, stopping at the Dambulla Cave Temple and a Matale Spice Garden along the way. In Kandy, you visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic and conclude the day by enjoying an enchanting Kandy cultural dance show.
The journey continues into the cool highlands on Day five. You stop at fascinating temple loops and the beautiful Ramboda Waterfall before visiting a renowned Damro Tea Factory. The next morning, the adventure heightens with a trek through Horton Plains National Park to World’s End. Afterwards, you travel to Ella to enjoy the panoramic views from Little Adam’s Peak and the architectural marvel of the Nine Arch Bridge.
The final days are dedicated to the coast and the capital. Day seven takes you to Hikkaduwa, via the historic Galle Fort, a stop at the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, and a relaxing Madu River boat safari. After enjoying a coral trip and beach relaxation, you journey to Colombo. The final two days are spent exploring the capital’s landmarks, from the National Museum to the modern Lotus Tower, concluding your extensive tour.
