Day one begins with a warm welcome before heading into the historical Cultural Triangle. You’ll climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress and discover the ancient majesty of Anuradhapura, the island’s first kingdom, including the revered Sri Maha Bodhi. This powerful introduction showcases over two millennia of Sri Lankan civilization.
Later in the afternoon, transition to a thrilling wildlife experience with a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its wild elephant gathering. The day concludes in the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, giving you a taste of its vast archaeological treasures before an overnight stay.
Day two is a journey through sacred and colonial history. Visit the revered Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, home to a sacred relic of the Buddha. Afterwards, head south to the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning colonial architecture. The night is spent in the lively coastal city of Negombo.
Your final morning allows for a relaxed exploration of Negombo’s highlights, including its scenic beach, St. Mary’s Church, and Angurukaramulla Temple. Following a satisfying lunch, you will be assisted with your onward journey to the airport, completing your action-packed cultural and coastal refresh.
