Description
The RS Odyssey “From Peak to Shores” is your complete 14-night, 15-day Sri Lankan adventure, capturing the entire essence of the island. After a warm welcome at the airport, you transfer to Negombo for a relaxing first night. Day two takes you to the ancient capital of Anuradhapura, exploring sacred sites like the Ruwan Weli Pagoda and the Sri Maha Bodhi, following a stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Days three and four explore the island’s diverse regions. You travel to Jaffna in the north, visiting the historical Fort and the sacred Nallur Kandaswami Kovil. The journey continues to the East Coast, where you discover Trincomalee’s iconic Koneswaram Temple and the beautiful Nilaweli Beach. En route, you visit significant landmarks like Mihintale and the Avukana Buddha Statue.
Days five, six, and seven focus on the famous Cultural Triangle. You explore the ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa before embarking on an amazing elephant safari in Minneriya National Park. You then visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the Dambulla Cave Temple. The segment concludes in Kandy with a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic and an engaging cultural dance show.
The journey continues to the misty heights on day eight and nine. After exploring Kandy’s heritage, you travel to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at a Damro Tea Factory and colonial-era temples. An early start is made for trekking through Horton Plains National Park to World’s End. Afterwards, you discover Ella’s natural beauty, including Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge, before heading south to Yala.
The final days embrace wildlife and the coast. Day ten features a thrilling Yala National Park jeep safari, followed by a visit to the multi-religious Kataragama Dewalaya. You then explore the historic Galle Fort and enjoy a relaxing Hikkaduwa coral trip. The adventure concludes with a Madu River boat safari and two full days exploring the landmarks and economic pulse of the capital, Colombo, before your departure.

- After Breakfast at the Hotel, you will be Travelling to Anuradhapura which was the first established ancient kingdom of Sri Lanka served as the center of nations civilization more than 1300 years.
- En-route visit to:
- Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where more than 80 elephants are cared
- Arriving at Anuradhapura and check in Hotel
- After Lunch at a tourist restaurant, you will be exploring the historic and cultural sites at the ancient Kingdom of Anuradhapura
